With nearly 400 locations across North America and over 50 years of serving communities during their most challenging moments, Paul Davis is the trusted name when things go wrong.

This isn't a transactional business. This is a mission-driven, essential service built on expertise, trust, and a genuine commitment to helping families get back in their homes, businesses reopen their doors, and communities recover from devastating losses.

And they're entering an exciting phase of strategic evolution. New leadership with fresh vision. Strategic investments in capability and capacity. A franchise network hungry for growth. And a recognition that the next decade of dominance will be built on strategic partnerships, market positioning, and bold moves that their competitors aren't making yet.

A Market Leader at an Inflection Point

Canada's restoration industry is projected to continue strong growth driven by climate change impacts, aging infrastructure, and commercial property expansion. The strategic architecture to capture that growth is being built now.

This isn't corporate bureaucracy. It's a team that genuinely cares — about the families they serve, about each other, and about doing things right. A servant leadership philosophy that runs deep. A respect for entrepreneurial spirit balanced with corporate support and systems.

The What

What You'll Be Driving

As the VP of Strategic Growth, you'll lead Paul Davis Canada's national sales team (5 professionals across the country) while simultaneously serving as a player-coach hunting $2M+ in strategic commercial revenue.

Think: managing, coaching, and developing your team Monday through Wednesday, then closing a transformational partnership with a national REIT on Thursday. You'll set the strategy, build the playbook, lead the team, and execute the biggest deals yourself.

This isn't a "keep the lights on" role. This is a player-coach sales leadership opportunity. Paul Davis has the foundation — brand recognition, operational excellence, trusted relationships, and financial stability. What they're building now is the rocket ship. You get to design it, build it, and drive it.

Must Haves

What This Role Demands

This role demands an elite sales leader who's built and managed high-performing teams (5-10+ people) while maintaining their own book of business. You've led people to quota, coached struggling reps to success, made tough personnel decisions, and personally closed complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

You understand franchise or multi-location business models where influence matters more than authority. You've worked in service-based B2B industries and know how to navigate long sales cycles with senior decision-makers.

If you're a "strategy deck only" type, this isn't your role. If you're ready to lead a team, hunt transformational deals, and win — let's talk.

Sales Team Leadership

Proven experience building and managing high-performing sales teams of 5-10+ people while maintaining your own book of business. You've coached reps to quota and made tough personnel decisions.

Personal Sales Track Record

Demonstrated history of personally closing complex, multi-stakeholder B2B deals. You've built and closed a multi-million dollar book of business in service-based industries.

Franchise Fluency

Ability to influence independent business owners, align diverse stakeholders toward common goals, and drive measurable growth through shared strategic initiatives — without direct authority.

Industry Background

Experience in service-based B2B industries — restoration, construction, property management, insurance, facilities management, or commercial real estate — with long sales cycles and senior decision-makers.

The Why

Why This Industry, Why Now

Because this is a career-defining executive opportunity in an industry that is recession-proof, essential, and deeply mission-driven. The Canadian restoration market is on fire — driven by increasing severe weather events, aging infrastructure, insurance industry evolution, and commercial property expansion.

Every day, Paul Davis teams help families get back in their homes, businesses reopen their doors, and communities recover from devastating losses. This VP role gives you the chance to amplify that impact exponentially.

And here's what makes it exceptional: you get to do this at the exact right moment — when Paul Davis has all the assets to dominate the next decade and is actively building the strategic architecture to make it happen. You're not joining a company that's figured it all out. You're joining a company that's ready to be great, and they need you to help build it.

The How

Your First 12–24 Months: Three Strategic Initiatives

Success in this role will be defined by three clear strategic priorities. This isn't a maintenance role with a polished playbook — it's an opportunity to step in as the player-coach sales leader and define Paul Davis Canada's next chapter of growth.

1

Sales Team Leadership & Performance

Build a high-performing, accountable sales culture across your 5-person national team. Implement CRM discipline (Luxor), establish clear KPIs and activity metrics, coach to quota, drive consistent pipeline growth, and transform the team from 'lone wolves' to collaborative hunters who share wins and best practices.

2

Strategic Partnership Development

Personally hunt and close transformational partnerships that create competitive advantage — national insurance carriers, property management firms, REITs, commercial real estate organizations, and strategic referral channels. Build C-level relationships that generate $2M+ in new commercial revenue while establishing partnership models the sales team can replicate.

3

Franchise Network Alignment

Work with 18+ franchise owners across Canada to align sales strategies, share best practices, and build consensus around growth initiatives. Coach franchise owners on commercial business development while respecting their entrepreneurial independence and local market knowledge.

Your DNA

A Career-Defining Opportunity for a Proven Sales Leader

You're a Sales Leader Who Still Sells

You've managed teams (5-15 reps) and hit quota yourself. You know the difference between coaching from the sidelines vs. leading from the front. Your team respects you because you can do everything you ask of them — and do it better.

You Build A-Player Sales Cultures

You've hired, developed, and fired salespeople. You know how to set clear expectations, create accountability without micromanagement, and celebrate wins while addressing performance gaps quickly. Your former team members still text you for advice.

You're a Strategic Hunter, Not Just a Manager

You can spot a partnership opportunity three moves ahead. You build relationships at the C-suite level — with VPs of Facilities, Risk Managers, Property Directors, and Insurance Executives — because you speak their language: ROI, risk mitigation, and business continuity.

You Understand Franchise Dynamics

You've worked in multi-location, distributed, or franchise environments where success depends on influence, not authority. You know how to get independent business owners excited about corporate strategies by showing them the money and respecting their local expertise.

You're a Data-Driven Closer

You live in your CRM. You know your conversion rates, average deal size, sales cycle length, and pipeline velocity without checking a dashboard. You forecast accurately and hold your team to activity metrics — but you know when to break the rules to close the big one.

You Thrive in Complexity and Ambiguity

Multi-provincial sales strategies across diverse franchise locations don't intimidate you — they energize you. You can think nationally while executing locally, and toggle between strategic vision and tactical execution without losing momentum.

The Role

Who We're Looking For

The VP of Strategic Growth is Paul Davis Canada's sales architect, team builder, and deal closer rolled into one executive role. You'll lead the national sales organization while personally hunting the transformational partnerships that competitors can't match.

This isn't a typical VP role where you manage from behind a desk. You're 50% sales leader (coaching team, driving accountability, building systems) and 50% player-coach (hunting strategic deals, building C-level partnerships, closing big revenue). The person who succeeds here will be equally energized by both.

Lead the Team

Coach, develop, and hold accountable 5 sales professionals across Canada

Hunt the Deals

Personally close $2M+ in transformational commercial partnerships annually

Drive Growth

Deliver measurable, lasting results across the franchise network

You're 50% sales leader and 50% player-coach. Every week demands both — and the best candidates will be energized by that duality, not intimidated by it.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

Sales Team Leadership & Development

Lead, manage, and hold accountable a team of 5 sales professionals distributed across Canada (Quebec, Ontario x2, Western Canada, Atlantic). Conduct weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions, set clear revenue targets and KPIs, drive CRM (Luxor) adoption, coach on strategic selling, make hiring and firing decisions, and foster a collaborative culture that breaks the 'lone wolf' mentality.

Strategic Partnership Development (Player-Coach)

Personally hunt, develop, and close transformational partnerships with national/regional accounts: REITs, property management firms, insurance carriers, independent adjusters, and commercial real estate organizations. Build C-level relationships, navigate complex 6-18 month sales cycles, generate $2M+ in new commercial revenue annually, and develop 500+ new qualified contacts in CRM.

Franchise Network Collaboration & Alignment

Build strong relationships with 18+ franchise owners across Canada. Coach franchise owners on commercial business development, facilitate knowledge sharing across the network, balance corporate strategic direction with franchise independence, and align owners around national partnerships.

Strategic Planning & Execution

Own and drive execution of Paul Davis Canada's national growth strategy with accountability for revenue, pipeline, and market share targets. Provide market intelligence to executive leadership, identify white space opportunities, lead annual strategic planning sessions, and represent Paul Davis at industry conferences and events.

Account Management & Client Success

Provide executive oversight for key accounts including client touchpoints, new account implementation, dispute resolution, and SLA compliance. Lead complex RFP/RFI responses and ensure seamless coordination between sales commitments and operational delivery.

Reporting & Accountability

Provide weekly/monthly reporting to SVP of Business Development on team performance, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy. Maintain CRM data integrity and present at Paul Davis leadership meetings, Owner School, district meetings, annual convention, and CSMP.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

We're looking for a seasoned sales leader with a demonstrated track record in sales leadership, business development, and partnership cultivation — ideally in multi-location, franchise, or complex organizational structures. The ideal candidate brings both sales execution and leadership discipline.

Education

Bachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred). MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus but not required. Industry certifications and professional development valued.

10+ Years of Experience

Progressive sales or business development experience in B2B service industries, with 5+ years of proven sales leadership — managing, coaching, developing, and holding accountable teams of 5-15 sales professionals.

Franchise & Multi-Location Background

Proven track record in multi-location, franchise, or distributed network environments. Proven ability to influence and align independent business owners or stakeholders without direct authority.

Personal Sales Success

Demonstrated track record of personally closing complex, multi-stakeholder B2B deals and building a multi-million dollar book of business. Experience with 6-18 month sales cycles.

Industry Background

Experience in service-based industries — restoration, construction, insurance, property management, commercial real estate, or facilities management strongly preferred.

C-Level Sales Experience

Demonstrated success selling to and building relationships with property managers, facility directors, risk managers, insurance executives, or similar B2B decision-makers.

Communication & Executive Presence

Exceptional written and verbal communication with polished executive presence for boards, C-suite clients, and franchise owner groups. Strong presentation and proposal skills.

Skills & Travel

Key Competencies & Skills

Proven ability to recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing sales talent. Track record of teams consistently achieving or exceeding quota. Experience implementing sales processes, accountability systems, and comfort with difficult conversations — PIPs, performance management, terminations.

Strategic Sales & Business Development

Executive-level consultative selling — building relationships with C-suite decision-makers. Complex deal structuring, negotiation, and closing with multi-stakeholder approval processes. Partnership development expertise identifying non-obvious opportunities and creating win-win agreements.

CRM & Sales Operations Mastery

Fanatical CRM discipline — views CRM (Luxor or similar) as a strategic weapon, not an administrative burden. Strong command of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analytics. Data-driven decision making balanced with relationship intuition.
